I'm done journaling about semi-serious stuff. People always take it the wrong way, and I'm far too lazy to spend hours editing my journals to make them sound politically correct, since sarcasm is too dangerous to try and convey in text format anyway.
Those who know me know I'm a nice person, that's all I gotta say, and while I enjoy cynicism a whole lot, at the core, I regard people with a basic level of respect to do or say whatever they want.
About my previous fanart-related post: I wasn't saying they shouldn't be allowed to do it. I wasn't saying they don't have a right to express themselves. I was just saying I don't like it, and that I'm sick of seeing it on the front page. That's all. I'm not a revolutionary, I'm not right about everything, nor am I better than anyone else, artistically, opion....-ly, or otherwise. I'm just a chick, venting in the most non-constructive of ways.
Maybe I'm thwarting my public responsibility, maybe I"m not being proactive or fair. So I'll stop whining and shut up. Granted.
I'm too old for this s**t anyway.
And no, I don't want tons of sympathy comments either, I'm just saying: forgive an old lady her complaining. Go on ahead and draw, people, in any way you want. I'm just old and bitter and maybe I've lost that open-mindedness that I should have towards stuff I don't like.
Happy Valentine's everyone, btw, I hope you spent it with loved ones, or eating lots of chocolate, haha. ^_^

Get the hell over yourselves people! Seriously, take the stick out of your ass and act human for a second! Nobody should have to watch every word they say with a darn microscope for fear some closet-locked infant is going to bust a lid over a point of view. Is this our world, where everything is so scrutinized that we can barely say hello out of concern it will offend someone?
I say, be bold! Speak outright! Do not fear reprisal! Those who can't wrap their minds around a viewpoint removed from their own should just curl into a fetal position and clutch their teddies a little tighter... nor should they hold onto that dream of ever getting ahead in the world. People like that don't become heads of office- they tend to stick their noses into more toilet bowls than glasses of wine.
And besides, it's deviantart. For Snippy McPissy and the rest, the biggest challenge of the day is deciding whether they should text or verbally call their favorite 5 to hang out in the food court and slam down green tea smoothies... with bee pollon....
