I am so SICK of logging into Deviantart, and seeing Naruto and Sasuke on the front page.

I KNOW it's a popular series, and I KNOW tons of people reading this are probably fans. And those who know me, know to take my rants with a grain of salt. But still.

First of all: I don't mind Naruto. It's a fun series. Heck, I don't even mind Sasuke, or Naruto themselves, they're dynamic characters with a great story.

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CAN'T WE FEATURE SOMETHING ELSE?

First of all people... Naruto and Sasuke aren't gay for each other. It's not the gayness factor that bothers me in the slightest... I just *hate* non-authentic pairings in general. I mean... if they were *actually* gay in the series, then I really wouldn't care.

But face it, you 13-year-old-love-starved, kawaii-squealing-teeny-otakus, THEY'RE NOT GAY, THEY NEVER WERE, SO STOP LIVING YOUR HORNY LITTLE YAOI FANTASIES VICARIOUSLY THROUGH INNOCENT CHARACTHERS WHOSE REPUTATION YOU ARE RUINING, JUST LIKE YOU DID FOR GUNDAM WING, BLEACH AND EVERYTHING ELSE. RUIN YOUR OWN DAMNED CHARACTERS, OK? DO YOU MAKE YOUR TWO PET CATS GAY FOR EACH OTHER TOO?

The reverse sucks just as much too, by the way, before I'm coined as a gay basher, which, if you know me, couldn't be farther from the truth. I mean f**k, WOULD YOU MAKE THE GAY PAIR IN GRAVITATION HETERO? STOP MESSING WITH ALREADY-ASSIGNED ORIENTATION, and other KEY components of series!

STOOOPPPPP ITTTTT!!!!


Not to mention that most of this crap looks like kiddie porn anyway. Call me an old fuddy-duddy here, but in my ripe 24 years of age on this here rock, Auntie Liz kind of finds furry/pedophily fanart a wee bit disturbing. Of course, that's probably just me.

I'm all for creative deviations... but it's like some kind of obsession on Deviantart, or something. I mean, it's not just about sexual orientation here either. Kakashi doesn't have a thing for Sakura, Sesshomaru is a father figure to Rin, not a sugar daddy/lover/rapist, and for god's sake, ONLY TWO of the Sailor Scouts are actually homosexual. I just mean that if I were the creator of some of these series... I'd personally shove a pen right through my jugular at the sight of some of this crap, if my throat was not too busy constricting while it choked on copious amounts of my own vomit.

I mean, I never deviated this much when I was hardcore into Inuyasha fanart. Oh sure, I'm guilty about romantic, semi-erotic fanart... but it was with characters that made sense, and aside from that, I've learned my lesson, and would happily delete ALL the shitty fanart I've done to prove my point, if I hadn't been threatened with disembowlment-by-Pocky by the fangirl masses, should I do so.

*guh!* Anyway. Back to sasunaru, as the pinku-rabu-kawaii-yaoi-sugoi-ne crowd would say.

Second: They're not fluffy. They're ninjas. They don't have bunny ears, they don't have tails, and they don't purr, or lick each other, or chase balls of string, or have paws, or hock up hairballs or have litter boxes for their ninja-kitty turds.

And for any of you piping up about the Kyubi... OK, FINE: Naruto is a demon fox. BUT A DEMON FOX IS STILL NOT A GAG-ME-WITH-A-FORK-GOOGLY-EYED-FURRY WHO LIKES HUMPING SASUKE'S LEG WITH A FACE LIKE THIS: X3.

PLEASE: Stop.

For the love of my sanity, my faith in anime in general, for the sanctity of the series you supposedly enjoy, and for the sake of the already ruined reputation of fandom in general, for f**k's sake, JUST STOP.
