Yay Bleach. I've been on a fanart kick lately... or rather on a "finish what you start" kick, hehe.
Anyway.. this was just a simple sketch I did in my sketchbook... and I wanted to play with grey and textures. The coloring's too simplistic, as is the pic... but I was looking for something a little more atmospheric I guess. Also, the way I had done it in my book... the thick lines made it look really 2-d, as opposed to the 3-d ish coloring I ended up giving it. The result is a little weird, heh. I already have issues with everything in this pic, lol. It's not entirely what I wanted... but it works in its own little way, I guess, hehe. The pic was inspired by Rie Fu's "Life is like a boat" I love that song, hehe. Anyway. I like Rukia, she's emo-cool. *grin* Hope you guys like it. (Done in sakura microns, staedler pens and colored in Photoshop and Painter.) Rukia (c) Tite Kubo/Bleach p.s.: I realize her tat looks like Yoruichi's... but I only realized it after, thinking "wowz, I like butterflies." And yeah, I know she has no tats in the show. |
