EDIT: NOBODY GETS THIS!!! I'M CLICKING HIS COLLAR ON AND OFF, WHICH CAUSES THE MOODSWINGS!!!! I guess the comic's not so good if I have to explain it... hehe... BACK to the drawing board it is!! *dash*

Yeah I've been submitting a lot lately, but that's because these are my last precious days of freedom before full-time-working-death. Anyway, heh.. this is a long story. I accidentally inked the sketch on the wrong side of the marker paper, and consequently, could not color it! I was so pissed, because this is a parody I'd been dying to do for a while, ever since I saw the movie lol. (Yeah... I know it's not very clear, but the comic is a parody of "unleashed" the movie with Jet Li... I had some trouble with the comedic formulating in this one. Timing's weird. Anyway.) So I decided to take a chance and color it both on Painter, and on Photoshop exlcusively. Obviously, I'm no pro, but I'm really happy with the result, given my general non-knowledge of digital coloring, heh... (The skin tones are uhm.... bleh. But oh well. ) I'm sorry if it makes less obvious sense than other comics I've made... but I dunno. Had to get this out. (the chick with the dark hair is my friend Shiniliz, mweheh.. HAA HAA!! *pokes her* ) Anyway..  For obvious reasons, I loved that movie. The possibilities regarding a buff, big googly eyed real-life-bishie man with a COLLAR are just... well endless. I DON'T CARE HOW OLD HE IS, JET LI IS STILL HOT!!! *aheh* Anyway. And this doesn't spoil anything in the movie.. the concept is in the movie trailer. I played on his eyes a lot.. because after reading various articles in movie-review mags about how affecting Li's eyes are in the film, I paid close attention to them, and had to agree. He goes from murderous crazy man, to googly eyed puppy... so I played around with that for this strip heh... Wow.. I should stop babbling, you might say... but NO Here comes another paragraph... Oh yeah, and aside from my fangirlishness, the movie is actually really good. A lot more substance to it than one might expect, it's not just a gratuitous violence martial arts kind of thing. It's very deep, good acting, and very touching at times.  That scene when the collar comes off... *swoon* anyway. I LOVE YOU LUC BESSON!!! lol I hope you guys like it. |
